Pleasantly surprised My initial test shots confirmed my assumptions regarding the quality of this lens – I wasn’t expecting much. But after experimenting a bit more, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s actually a pretty decent lens provided you don’t handicap yourself when using it. With long telephoto/zoom lenses, effects of motion are magnified with the result being a reduction in image sharpness. In short, my recommendations would be: 1) Use a tripod!
